ZR RAW Extended - Guided Setup
Version 1.2.3 / Build 238 / September 4, 2026

1. Quit ZR RAW Extended from its menu before upgrading. Setup never stops an
active export. Keep your current Resolve project open if you prefer; setup
does not launch or control Resolve.
2. Open Install ZR RAW Extended.app. This free community build is not Apple
notarized. If macOS blocks it, review the warning in System Settings >
Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway only if you trust this download.
Do not disable Gatekeeper or other system security protections.
3. The launcher opens guided setup in Terminal. Let that window finish.
Some required components need an internet connection and administrator
approval. Type your normal Mac login password at the macOS Password prompt,
then press Return. No characters or dots appear while typing: that is normal.
Never give your password to support.
4. Setup checks and prepares required components before replacing the app in
Applications. It preserves the previous app in Trash and attempts to restore
it if the final replacement fails. Your footage and exported files are not
changed. Existing app preferences are retained.
5. ZR RAW Extended opens when setup completes. Select your engine and add media.

Supported: Apple-silicon Macs, macOS 13 or newer, with at least 5 GB free for
setup. Export and cache requirements depend on your footage. Intel Macs are
not supported by this build. Managed Macs may require your IT administrator.

REDCINE-X PRO is prepared during setup when missing. DaVinci Resolve Studio is
optional and is not bundled. For Resolve, set External scripting using to Local
and restart Resolve before first use. Optional Resolve preview setup can be
completed later using Repair Installation in the app.

If setup stops, read its last explanation. You can save a diagnostic report or
explicitly choose to send it privately. A reply email is optional. No report is
sent automatically. Never include footage, passwords or payment details.

This is one guided launcher, not a promise of unattended, zero-click setup.
Administrator authentication, Apple security approval and vendor prompts may
need your confirmation. The installer does not bypass managed-Mac policies.

Build 238 improves setup and repair. The compression engine and app interface
remain those of the previous stable release; the redesigned workspace is still
a separate preview.
